This article explains how coaches can run a virtual lesson using the Golf Live app. Virtual lessons are conducted via a live video call, allowing you to record your student’s swing, perform real-time swing analysis, and save annotated videos and notes for the student to review after the lesson.
Before the Lesson: Schedule It (Optional)
You can schedule a virtual lesson ahead of time in the app.
From your Home screen, tap New Lesson
Select or search for your student
On the next screen, choose a date and time
Tap Confirm > Schedule a Lesson
If the lesson has already been scheduled (by you or the student), you can skip these steps.
Joining a Scheduled Virtual Lesson
When it’s time for your lesson:
Go to Lessons
Tap Upcoming
Select the lesson you want to run
Tap Join Lesson to begin
⚠️ Important: The coach must join the lesson first. The student will only be able to join the lesson on their device after the coach has started it.
Starting a Virtual Lesson Instantly (No Scheduling Required)
Virtual lessons do not need to be scheduled in advance. You can start an on-demand virtual lesson directly from your student’s profile.
Navigate to your golfer’s profile
Select Start Instant Lesson to launch a virtual call
This will immediately begin a virtual lesson. Your student must be logged into the Golf Live app under their student account to receive the call. Once connected, you can record swings, perform live swing analysis, and save feedback for the student to review later.
Conducting the Virtual Lesson
Once both you and the student have joined, the lesson will take place over a live video call. You can communicate, record swings, and provide feedback in real time—similar to an in-person lesson.
On-Screen Controls
During the lesson, you’ll have access to the following controls:
Aspect Ratio (top left)
V – Hide or show bottom controls
Video Files – Access lesson attachments
Screen Share
Red Record Button – Record your student’s swing
Mute Microphone

Recording Your Student’s Swing
You can record your student’s swing directly from the video call.
Tap the red record button
When prompted, enable screen recording on your device
Tap the stop button when finished
Once recording ends, the video is automatically saved to Lesson Attachments, accessible from the bottom-left cornerof the lesson screen.
Tip: Keep recordings between 10–15 seconds for best results.
Performing In-Lesson Swing Analysis (Live)
You can perform swing analysis live while your student watches on their device.
Start a screen broadcast
Tap Lesson Attachments (bottom left)
Select the recorded video
Tap Analyze
Use the swing analysis tools (lines, shapes, etc.)
Your student will see the analysis in real time during the screen broadcast.
⚠️ Note: You must start a screen broadcast before selecting videos to analyze.
When Finished:
Stop the screen broadcast
Save the analysis to the lesson so the student can review it later
Ending the Virtual Lesson
When the lesson is complete:
Tap the red X to properly finish the lesson
Ending the lesson will automatically save and share:
Recorded swing videos
Saved swing analysis
Any notes or feedback added during the session
A video recording of the entire lesson
The student can access all lesson materials from their Golf Live app.
